The authors have tried, in present paper, to explain the status of women's social capital in Saudi Arabia, therefore the novel "Banat al-Riyadh" has been reviewed through four levels of cultural, social, economic and symbolic capitals. Findings of the research show that women's symbolic capital in Saudi Arabia is very weak and they have a small share of it, a situation that stems from the problems in the social capital of the country; and the existing social controls, of which patriarchy is the most obvious output, are the biggest obstacle for women to benefit social and, ultimately, symbolic capital. The Social capital of Saudi Arabian women however stands on an acceptable level, but is not able to help them coping with social problems and does not lead to reproduction of symbolic capital. پژوهش حاضر با تکیه بر نظریۀ سرمایۀ اجتماعی «پیر بوردیو»، رمان <em>دختران ریاض</em> اثر «رجاء الصانع» با بررسی جامعه‌شناختی کرده‌است. سعی نویسندگان بر آن بوده تا به این پرسش پاسخ دهند که سرمایه‌های اجتماعی زنان عربستان‌سعودی، چه وضعی داشته‌است؛ بدین‌منظور رمان <em>دختران ریاض</em> در چهار سطح سرمایۀ فرهنگی، اجتماعی، اقتصادی، نمادین بررسی شده‌است. یافته‌های پژوهش نشان می‌دهد سرمایۀ نمادین زنان در عربستان‌سعودی به شدت ضعیف است و بهره‌مندی زنان از این سرمایه اندک است و ریشه‌های ضعف این سرمایه، به مشکلات موجود در بخش سرمایه‌های اجتماعی برمی‌گردد. همچنین کنترل‌های اجتماعی که شکل روشنِ آن مردسالاری است، بزرگ‌ترین مانع پیش روی زنان برای بهره‌مندی از سرمایۀ اجتماعی و درنهایت سرمایۀ نمادین است. سرمایۀ اقتصادی زنان نیز اگرچه در سطح مقبولی قرار دارد، در مواجهه با مشکلات اجتماعی نمی‌تواند یاریگر زنان باشد و به تولید سرمایۀ نمادین نمی‌انجامد. https://jlcr.ut.ac.ir/article_65521_9a5a7025468101bcbe745d66e4afd19a.pdf
