Using the structural approach of Lévi-Strauss, the Jamshid's dual personality has been analyzed in present study. His different dimensions of personality are the result of three confrontations between good and evil, death and immortality, and the importance and insignificance of family ties. The deep-structure of Jamshid mythology is also based on the twins' birth pattern, in a way that the first child has a good face and the second one is ugly because of the risk he makes for his mother's life. Jamshid plays the good role as long as his twin is present in the myth, but when the role of his twin fades away Jamshid himself represents both roles of good and evil character of the twins. لوی استروس نظریه‌پرداز معروف ساختارگرا برای کشف دلالت پنهان اسطوره‌ها، آن‌ها را به کوچک‌ترین واحد تشکیل‌دهنده، یعنی اسطوره‌واج تقسیم کرده‌است و کوشیده با تعیین جایگاه اسطوره‌واج‌ها در روایات مختلف و نیز تقابل‌های دوگانۀ میان آن‌ها، معانی نهفته در اساطیر را تبیین کند. در پژوهش حاضر، با بهره‌گیری از رویکرد ساختاری استروس، شخصیت دوگانۀ جمشید بررسی شده‌است. ابعاد متفاوت شخصیت او حاصل سه تقابل دوگانۀ خیر و شر، مرگ و جاودانگی، اهمیّت پیوند خانوادگی و ناچیز شمردن آن است. همچنین، ژرف‌ساخت اسطورۀ جمشید بر مبنای الگوی تولد دوقلوها شکل گرفته که در این الگو، فرزند اوّل واجد چهره‌ای نیک است و فرزند دوم به سبب به خطر انداختن جان مادر، سیمایی منفی دارد. تا زمانی که همزاد جمشید در اساطیر حضور دارد، نقش نیروی خیر را بر عهده دارد، اما سپس که نقش همزاد او کم و محو می‌شود، خود جامع هر دو شخصیت مثبت و منفی دوقلوها می‌شود. https://jlcr.ut.ac.ir/article_68445_9c5c622a5d6d32e7b996f77f8d4830fb.pdf
