چکیده
مقالۀ پیشِ رو، به بررسی تحلیلی یکی از تیپ‌هایی پرداخته است که در داستانهای ماکسیم گورکی بسیار به‌چشم می‌خورد و حتّی می‌توان گفت استفاده از این تیپّ قهرمان، از ویژگی‌های کار گورکی به شمار می‌رود. با بررسی برخی آثار داستانی و همچنین زندگی‌نامۀ نویسنده می‌توان دریافت که گورکی بیش از همه با این قشر از اجتماع آشنایی داشته، در میان آنها زندگی کرده، رنج‌هایشان را چشیده و برای اوّلین بار آنها را وارد ادبیّات نموده است. چنان‌که کسانی چون گوگول و چخوف «انسان‌های کوچک» را وارد ادبیّات کردند، گورکی هم راه ورود بی‌خانمان‌ها، کولی‌ها و پابرهنگان را به داستان و رمان گشود. او برای «پابرهنه»ها ویژگی‌های منحصربه‌فردی قائل است که در داستان و از زبان خود شخصیّت‌ها هم به آن اشاره می‌شود. پابرهنگانِ گورکی، قهرمانانی بالقوّه‌اند در سیمای آوارگان و خانه‌به‌دوشان. آزادگی، آزادی‌خواهی، اندیشه‌های ناب، داشتن روح سرکش و ناآرام و همچنین نگنجیدن در قالب‌های تعریف‌شدۀ زندگی را می‌توان از ویژگی‌های پابرهنگان گورکی دانست.

چکیده [English]
In present paper, we try to analyze one of Maxim Gorky’s specific types of characters which almost all assess his works with. Studying some works of his fictions and considering the biography of author, it can be claimed that Gorky had been the one who knew these types of people very well, lived with them, experienced their plains and sufferings profoundly and made them to be entered through his literature. Just like Gogol and Chekhov who introduced the idea of “little people” to literature, Gorky brought the concept of “vagabonds”, the homeless and the gypsies into the general course of story-writing. He considers unique traits for his barefoot characters and expresses these traits through the language of his heroes. Gorky’s barefoot characters are potentially heroes with the appearance of refugees and wanderers. The vagabonds of Gorki’s stories have some main features: liberty, freedom, pure thoughts, turbulent and frenetic soul, and also not being restricted in pre-defined frameworks of life.
