In stylistic studies, all textual elements are significant; when examining syntactic structure, particles (*ḥurūf*) are no less important than verbs, nouns, adjectives, adverbs, and pronouns. They warrant analysis from various perspectives—such as their forms (singular, doubled, simple, or compound) and their roles regarding transposition, ellipsis, capacity for conciseness, and semantic diversity. Investigating the meanings of these particles can serve to better understand syntactic structures within the language and act as a distinguishing factor in identifying writing styles; indeed, they hold a special place in the language's grammatical framework, and an author's treatment of them invariably constitutes a key aspect of stylistic character. From this perspective, to understand both the personal styles of authors and the stylistic characteristics of specific eras, we must pay special attention to the semantic functions of particles. This is essential for addressing questions such as: "Does the semantic nature of particles play a role in shaping writing style?" and "Does the polysemy of particles in early texts challenge the scholarly emphasis on the simplicity of style in those formative periods?" This inquiry proceeds from the premise that, despite having received limited attention in stylistic studies to date, the meanings of particles are crucial and decisive in shaping writing style; furthermore, an examination of early texts may reveal a semantic complexity that contradicts the simplicity often attributed to the prose styles of the early periods of Persian literature. furthermore, an examination of early texts may reveal a semantic complexity that contradicts the simplicity often attributed to the prose styles of the early periods of Persian literature. furthermore, an examination of early texts may reveal a semantic complexity that contradicts the simplicity often attributed to the prose styles of the early periods of Persian literature. furthermore, an examination of early texts may reveal a semantic complexity that contradicts the simplicity often attributed to the prose styles of the early periods of Persian literature.
